Edna June Richards, 67, of Deweyville passed away on June 7, 2012 at Methodist Hospital in Houston.

She was a life long resident Deweyville; born on June 9, 1944 to parents Ruby (Peco) and Elton Hutson. She was a member of Hartburg Baptist Church. She enjoyed watching rodeos and she loved watching her grandchildren compete in sports. June was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be missed dearly.

She was preceded is death by her parents, Elton and Ruby Hutson; sister, Linda Reynolds; brothers, Jessie “Sonny” Hutson and Wayne Hutson.

She is survived by her husband Jerry W. Richards of Deweyville; daughters, Sonja Ferguson and husband, Doug of Corpus Christi, Carla Richard and husband, Glen of Vinton; sons, Mark Richards and wife, Lisa of Orange, Charlie Richards and wife, Patricia of Deweyville; sisters, Jeannette Williamson and husband, Jimmie of Hartburg, Anna Bates of Hemphill; brother, Louis Hutson of Hartburg. Also left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren, Whitley Richards, Shea D Richards, Aaron Ferguson, Austin Ferguson, Kade Richards, Raelyn Richard, Logan Richard, Olivia Richards and Emma Richards. A visitation will be held on Friday, June 8, 2012 from 6 pm until 9 pm at Hartburg Baptist Church. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 10 am at the church. Burial will follow at Deweyville Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were held under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home.
